Data Engineer

📍 Location: Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Binh Duong), with company shuttle bus service from central HCMC.

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the development of our data and analytics environment across SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI .

The role covers the full data journey — from ingesting and transforming source data to developing analytical models and business-facing reports. You will work closely with business stakeholders to turn operational requirements into reliable data solutions, while helping shape standards and practices as the analytics function continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage structured analytical datasets within Microsoft Fabric , including dimensional and star-schema models.
• Build and optimize data flows across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Convert business requirements into standardized data models, KPIs, and reporting metrics .
• Develop Power BI semantic layers, DAX calculations, and interactive dashboards .
• Monitor and improve data reliability through validation, testing, quality checks, and issue resolution.
• Consolidate reporting logic into controlled and trusted datasets to provide a consistent source of business information .
• Maintain technical documentation, data lineage, governance practices, and development standards.
• Partner with business and technical teams to understand analytical needs and deliver appropriate data and reporting solutions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, BI Development, or Analytics Engineering, with experience delivering production-ready data models and reports.
• Advanced SQL and practical Python capabilities.
• Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling, star schemas, ELT processes, and medallion architecture .
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent Azure technologies, such as Synapse, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory .
• Strong Power BI expertise, covering semantic models, DAX, dashboards, row-level security, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, deployment workflows, and clean-code practices .
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA data and master data is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science , or a related discipline.
• Fluent English with the ability to work effectively with regional and international stakeholders.
