Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to support a federal data and AI platform. This is a fully remote position focused on building and maintaining data pipelines that support federal background investigation work.

You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop data pipelines, transform and organize data, troubleshoot issues, and provide reliable datasets for data science and machine learning teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline code
• Develop ETL processes using Python and SQL
• Transform raw and synthetic data into organized, analysis ready datasets
• Monitor data quality, pipeline performance, and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues
• Support cloud based data platforms and CI/CD workflows
• Contribute to infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Support data governance, cataloging, and access control
• Provide datasets and tools needed by data science and machine learning teams
• Maintain clear documentation of pipelines and processes
• Follow federal security and compliance requirements

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Engineering, data pipelines, ETL, or a related field
• Experience with Python and SQL
• Experience working with production data pipelines or data integration
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• U.S. citizenship required
• Active Top Secret security clearance required

Additional experience with Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, dbt, Terraform, CI/CD, Airflow, data governance, or government environments are a plus.

Pay: $112,000.00 - $136,000.00 per year
