Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for batch and streaming workflows.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, and modern orchestration tools.
• Manage and integrate data from multiple sources into data warehouses/lakehouses.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance across systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and business teams to deliver reliable datasets.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, scalability, and security.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for storage, compute, and deployment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong expertise in SQL and Python.
• Handson experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt.
• Knowledge of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform for deployment.
• Good understanding of data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema, partitioning).
• Exposure to data governance tools and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problemsolving, debugging, and communication skills.
