About our Client

Our client is a global leader in retail loss prevention, operations management, and analytics. For over 20 years, we have led the industry with innovative technologies, video analytics, and smart-cart solutions. We are looking for a hands-on engineer to strengthen our data foundation and help deliver reliable, measurable outcomes in production.

The Role

This role bridges the gap between core data engineering and practical machine learning applications. Primarily, you will be a data platform engineer responsible for owning core data pipelines, data models, and quality controls that power client analytics and future data products.

Secondarily, you will drive the production lifecycle of our shopping cart computer-vision feature. You will orchestrate the data workflows that interface with our Machine Learned models to ensure accurate cart classification, while leveraging the FaceFirst ML team for deeper capacity. You will collaborate with BI Analysts, software engineers, and product teams to transform raw data into actionable insights.

Must-have

• BigQuery (advanced SQL, partitioning/clustering, materialized views, cost tuning, IAM)
• Analytics data modeling (dimensional, SCDs, CDC-applied tables)
• Dataform or dbt
• ELT / SQL-based transformation discipline
• Datastream or equivalent CDC (Debezium, Fivetran, DMS)
• Pub/Sub (or Kafka/Kinesis)
• Cloud Run — services, jobs, and functions
• Docker / containerization
• Workflows (or Step Functions equivalent)
• Cloud Scheduler and Eventarc
• Python

Strongly preferred

• GCS (lifecycle, event notifications, storage classes)
• Firestore
• CI/CD (Cloud Build or GitHub Actions, Artifact Registry)
• Cloud Logging and Monitoring, structured logging, SLOs
• Secret Manager and IAM / service account hygiene
• Idempotency and reprocessing design
• Schema drift handling

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
