Salary: R900 000 - R1mil CTC per annum

About the Role

We're searching for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize robust data solutions that enable business intelligence, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across a large, complex environment.

You'll collaborate with analysts, data specialists, and business stakeholders to develop scalable data pipelines, maintain enterprise data platforms, and ensure high-quality, trusted data is available when it's needed most.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and data pipeline solutions.
• Build and support enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Develop data integration processes across multiple data sources and platforms.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data infrastructure.
• Support both recurring and ad hoc data requirements across the business.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and cloud platforms.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or a similar role.

Strong experience with:

• SQL
• Python
• AWS Cloud Technologies
• ETL Development & Data Integration
• Data Pipeline Design & Orchestration
• Data Modelling & Database Design
• Data Warehousing Solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, or similar)

Solid understanding of:

• Kimball Data Warehouse Methodology
• Data Governance & Data Quality Frameworks
• Data Security & Compliance Best Practices
• Structured and semi-structured data formats (CSV, JSON, etc.)

Experience within Retail, Financial Services, Logistics, or other large-scale data environments is highly advantageous.

Relevant cloud or data certifications will be beneficial.
