Data Engineer - Airflow – PySpark - Redshift – Data Pipelines - CI/CD - Hungary

Empiric has received an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer / Developer with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, especially in cloud data warehouse environments. AWS Redshift, WLM, distribution/sort keys, query execution plan analysis and optimization techniques. Good skills in PySpark and Apache Airflow is essential.

The Data Engineer should also have Solid understanding of data modelling principles, including dimensional modeling (Kimball), normalized models, and hybrid strategies.

The client expects strong SQL skills and deep understanding of query performance tuning in Redshift.

Skills/experience:

• AWS Redshift or AWS Glue
• Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Redshift Console)
• Cloud data warehouse environments.
• Data versioning, CI/CD, and collaborative development practices in dbt.
• Pyspark
• Data pipelines
• SQL
• Apache Airflow

Term: 6 to 12 months plus possible extensions
