Data Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Synthesize operational data into actionable automation insights, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and patterns of operational issues.

• Partner with a team of experienced automation design engineers to develop new automation technologies.

• Utilize deep expertise in business analysis, metrics, reporting, and analytic tooling to translate data into meaningful insights.

• Analyze performance metrics from new systems, run complex queries across multiple data sources, and identify subtle anomalies impacting system reliability.

• Build automated dashboard solutions and investigate variations in system accuracy.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share data-backed insights that drive operational excellence.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT, or equivalent.

• Experience with SQL Server/MySQL, or strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

• Experience demonstrating software engineering skills.

• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby, or similar.

• Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries.

• Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.
