Data Engineer

This employer is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a fully remote contract opportunity with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. The position is designed for a hands-on professional capable of taking ownership of production data pipelines and delivering results with minimal oversight.

The Role

• Design, build, and optimize ETL and ELT data infrastructure to support business intelligence and reporting.

• Develop Python-based data ingestion services and maintain dbt models for analytics.

• Integrate third-party data sources via APIs, webhooks, and file feeds while ensuring data quality and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support revenue reconciliation and executive reporting.

• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement secure data handling practices.

What You'll Need

• Strong hands-on experience in Python development and advanced SQL for complex data transformations.

• Proven experience with cloud-based data warehouse platforms and dbt for data modeling.

• Practical experience with cloud-native services for ingestion, automation, and infrastructure management.
