About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to support enterprise-scale data initiatives within the banking industry. You will be responsible for building and maintaining ETL pipelines, preparing datasets for business reporting, and ensuring high-quality, reliable data across multiple enterprise systems.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong SQL and ETL experience who enjoy working with large-scale data environments and collaborating with business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes for enterprise data integration.
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple banking and enterprise systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to support reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across data platforms.
• Support report generation and data preparation for business users.
• Troubleshoot data issues and optimize ETL performance.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Document ETL processes, data mapping, and technical specifications.
• Follow enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or related role.
• Strong experience with ETL development and data integration.
• Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, joins, stored procedures).
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience supporting reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS is an advantage.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or large Enterprise environments is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, Pentaho, or similar)
• Python or Shell scripting
• Git / Version Control
• Scheduling tools (Control-M, Airflow, Autosys)
• Cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus
