Data Engineer - Contract

Context

This role is for a Data Engineer position involving data extraction, processing, and analysis to generate business insights for the end client.

Missions

• Work with Python to extract and process data from existing data pipelines

• Integrate data into Python models for analysis

• Generate business insights for the end client

Tools & Environment

• Microsoft Azure

• Experience with Infor is a plus

Working Conditions

• Duration: Initially six months, with the possibility of a long-term extension

• Working hours: Approximately 12 hours per week

• Location: Fully remote, with potential occasional on-site meetings depending on client location

We are looking for a Freelance Data Engineer based in the Netherlands, with strong Python skills and experience in data processing, capable of leveraging existing data pipelines and transforming data into actionable business insights for the end client.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong proficiency in Python for data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis.

• Experience working with existing data pipelines and data processing workflows.

• Ability to integrate data into Python models to support analysis and generate meaningful insights.

• Good understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for the client.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and its data ecosystem.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Infor solutions is a strong advantage.

• Previous experience in consulting or client-facing environments.

• Freelance experience and the ability to manage assignments autonomously.
