Data Engineer (Finance)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from multiple source systems into the enterprise data lake.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of a layered data architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to ensure structured, reliable, and accessible data for business use.
• Develop, optimize, and monitor ETL/ELT processes using AWS technologies, PySpark, and SQL to ensure high performance and operational efficiency.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation activities to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and quality across platforms.
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Analytics, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions that support reporting and analytical initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control standards, while documenting data flows, technical processes, and architecture components.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related role, with hands-on experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Strong technical expertise in AWS services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, IAM, and Lake Formation, with advanced SQL and PySpark/Spark programming skills.
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schemas, fact and dimension design, and data lake/lakehouse architectures.
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data, data transformation frameworks, and analytics platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, or similar technologies is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results within timelines.
