Data Engineer-Hedge Fund

Key Responsibilities * Design and develop robust, efficient, scalable, and monitored production data pipelines in a cloud environment.

* Ingest, prepare, transform, and optimize third-party/vendor datasets to generate actionable features.

* Analyze and interpret data structures and patterns to improve pipeline design and dataset usability.

* Ensure strong standards for data quality, performance, reliability, and documentation.

* Collaborate closely with the local data sourcing team and partner with international Data Science and Research teams based in Paris.

Technical Expertise * Strong proficiency in Python, including Pandas.

* Solid understanding of cloud-based data architectures (ideally AWS).

* Familiarity with the Apache data ecosystem (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Kafka).

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Jenkins.

* Knowledge of modern data formats, including Parquet and Iceberg.

Profile * 3+ years of experience in data engineering.

* Strong curiosity about the finance industry and a commitment to handling data with accuracy and care.

* Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed, international environment.

* Versatile, autonomous, and detail-oriented, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

* Fluent in English.
