Data Engineer (Insurance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in the insurance industry and hands-on experience with Snowflake to build, maintain, and optimize reliable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions using Snowflake
• Perform data integration, migration, transformation, and validation from multiple data sources
• Build and maintain data models, tables, views, and stored procedures
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data processing or integration issues
• Optimize SQL queries and Snowflake performance
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and availability
• Work closely with business, analytics, and application teams to support data requirements
• Handle datasets and reporting requirements related to the insurance business domain
• Support data warehouse, reporting, and analytics initiatives

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, Data Warehouse Engineer, or similar role
• Must have experience working in the insurance industry or handling insurance-related projects
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehouse concepts
• Experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with Python for data processing or automation
• Good understanding of data modeling, data migration, data integration, and data quality
• Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
