Senior Data Engineer (Lead)

Location: Kraków, Poland (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineering Lead to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-based data solutions while providing technical leadership within an international engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Design and optimize solutions using GCP, BigQuery, Python, and SQL.
• Build batch and streaming pipelines with Kafka and Airflow.
• Implement dbt transformations and Medallion Architecture.
• Drive technical decisions, best practices, and mentor engineers.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Data Engineering and technical leadership.
• Hands-on expertise in GCP, BigQuery, Python, and SQL .
• Experience with Kafka, Airflow, dbt, and ETL/ELT .
• Knowledge of cloud data architecture and data warehousing.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.

Nice to Have: Experience in FinTech, CI/CD, Terraform, and data governance.
