Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Data Engineering & Development: Design, build, and maintain data products, pipelines, and reporting solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Power BI, and related cloud infrastructure.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate directly with business users across departments to gather requirements, resolve reporting issues, and translate needs into technical solutions.

• Testing & QA: Perform end-to-end data validation, unit testing, and integration tests to ensure data accuracy, pipeline stability, and performance.

• BAU Operations: Provide day-to-day BAU support, monitor scheduled jobs, troubleshoot queries, and ensure platform reliability.

• Documentation: Prepare clear technical documentation, system architectures, data dictionaries, and operational guides.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.

• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in data engineering or data analytics. Candidates with less experience showing strong talent and hands-on capability are welcome.

Core Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Python is a must.

Solid knowledge in Databricks or PySpark is an absolute advantage.

Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem is an advantage.

Experience in Power BI, Tableau, or other enterprise BI tools is necessary.

Knowledge in common version control systems such as Git is required.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or workflow automation platforms is an advantage.

Knowledge in Machine Learning concepts or practical experience in using AI agents is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

Capable to work as a team player while maintaining the ability to handle tasks independently.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills with both technical and non-

technical stakeholders.
