Salary: up to £75,000 depending on experience

CPS Group are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support high-priority projects within a secure Defence environment, developing robust data pipelines and solutions for mission-critical applications.

The role requires 3 days onsite with travel and accommodation expenses paid for if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain ETL frameworks and data pipelines.
• Ingest, transform, cleanse and validate large-scale datasets.
• Develop data models to support analytics, reporting and operational decision-making.
• Manage data quality, governance, security and compliance standards.
• Monitor and optimise data workflows for performance, reliability and cost.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and improve existing data solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Experience within similar Data Engineer role
• Knowledge and experience with Snowflake and Databricks are essential
• SQL and Python skills, with experience building data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data modelling, integration, quality and governance.
• AWS preferred
• Experience working within complex or secure environments.

Security Clearance: Candidates must be sole British citizens who have lived permanently in the UK for the last five years and be eligible to obtain high-level security clearance.
