Senior Data Engineer / Software Engineer

We are looking for a senior engineer who combines strong Data Engineering experience with hands-on Python software development .

This is not a purely ETL or data pipeline role. You will design and build data platforms, but also develop production-grade Python backend services, integrations and software components supporting advanced Data Science and AI solutions.

What you will work on

• Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines and backend services
• Write clean, maintainable and production-ready Python code
• Build data models, integrations and services supporting Data Science and ML teams
• Work with large-scale and distributed data processing
• Take technical ownership of performance, reliability and automation
• Contribute to architecture and engineering decisions across the platform

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Software Engineering
• Strong commercial experience with Python
• Solid knowledge of software engineering principles and clean code
• Experience with ETL , DWH/data lakes and distributed data processing
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Hands-on knowledge of technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with NoSQL, Linux/Unix and shell scripting
• Experience deploying data or ML-related solutions into production
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
• Fluent English
• Experience with Rust or C# is an advantage.
