Job Purpose

As part of an ambitious Data Strategy, we have built a modern Data Platform that enables multiple data product teams across various business domains to create, maintain, and consume data products.

The platform provides capabilities for Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Exploration, Visualization, and Analytics, supporting a broad range of internal stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing environment where you will contribute either to the development of core platform capabilities or to domain-specific data products that support business objectives.

As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Build and industrialize data ingestion frameworks on a cloud-native data platform using modern technologies such as Spark, Python, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support the onboarding of new data products and teams onto the platform.
• Monitor, optimize, and improve platform performance, scalability, and cost efficiency (FinOps).
• Design, develop, and maintain reusable components including:
• CI/CD pipelines
• Shared development libraries
• Data quality and lineage frameworks
• APIs and shared services
• Monitoring and scheduling solutions
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Integrate and onboard data from internal systems and external data sources.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of platform architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with Data Lake, Big Data, Data Warehousing, Analytics, BI, or ETL solutions.
• Experience delivering data solutions in cloud environments.
• Strong experience with data modelling and scalable data architectures.
• Experience defining and implementing best practices related to data management and data integration.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Technical Skills

• Apache Spark (Databricks experience is a plus)
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience working with various data formats such as Parquet, Avro, JSON, and CSV
• Data modelling
• API design and development
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud engineering practices, including Infrastructure as Code and security principles
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms
