Data Engineer Trainee

Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic Data Engineer Trainees who want to build their career in cloud data engineering. The candidate will receive hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks and will work on data ingestion, transformation, processing, and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for batch and incremental data processing.
• Work with structured and unstructured data.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT).
• Work with Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop data transformations using Python and PySpark.
• Write SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Work with data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
• Assist in implementing Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and basic performance optimization.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and other technical teams.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Good understanding of Python.
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.
• Basic understanding of Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Basic knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Fabric.
• Basic knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Basic understanding of Databricks.
• Good understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Fabric Data Factory / Data Pipelines.
• Knowledge of Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake.
• Basic knowledge of Azure Synapse.
• Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling and medallion architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E./BCA/MCA or related degree.
• Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related background preferred.
• Candidates with academic projects in Python, SQL, Azure, Spark, or Databricks will be preferred.
