Data Engineer with Healthcare Data Platforms

As a Senior Data Engineer specializing in Healthcare Data Platforms, you will design, build, and support large-scale healthcare data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data solutions using Dataproc, Data Composer, BigLake, BigQuery, Apache Iceberg, Starburst, dbt, and PySpark, while supporting healthcare data integrations, data quality, governance, performance, and production reliability.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on expertise in Dataproc, Data Composer, BigLake, BigQuery, Apache Iceberg, Starburst, dbt, and PySpark.
• Experience building data pipelines using API, SFTP, and Kafka integrations.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with production monitoring, troubleshooting, and data platform reliability.

Mandatory Domain Skills:

• Experience working with healthcare data domains such as Claims, Member, Provider, or Clinical data.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines and data platforms on GCP.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using PySpark, dbt, Dataproc, and Data Composer.
• Develop and maintain data solutions leveraging BigQuery, BigLake, Apache Iceberg, and Starburst.
• Implement and support data integrations using APIs, SFTP, and Kafka.
• Design data models and ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the platform.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver healthcare data solutions.
• Support production deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and engineering best practices.
