What they need

Are you a Data Engineer with a couple of years’ hands-on SQL engineering experience, now looking to continue your journey towards a more modern data tooling platform to gain experience of working on Microsoft Fabric?

This Housing Association is moving into a new Target Operating Model, with a big focus on creating a single, trusted view of data across multiple systems.

As part of this transformation, they are pulling data from multiple sources onto a new Microsoft Fabric environment. The aim is to move towards a saleable, cloud-based platform that supports reporting, insight, and future AI use cases.

This is where you’ll come in. You’ll work on building new pipelines to move data across the organisation.

It’s great role for someone who has a good understanding of traditional data engineering principles, who now wants to move towards being a data engineer for a modern Fabric environment.

As Data Engineer, you’ll be working on:

  • Building and optimising data pipelines across the organisation.
  • Integrating data from multiple sources.
  • Supporting the move from an on-prem SQL data warehouse into Microsoft Fabric
  • Ensuring data is clean, validated, and trusted.
  • Helping shape how data is structured and used across the business.

There’s a multi-year technology and data roadmap in place, and this role sits at the centre of delivering it, so there’s a huge amount of impact to be made and experience to be gained.

They don’t need the finished article, but they do want someone who understands data engineering fundamentals and can apply them in a real-world environment.

You would be an excellent fit as Data Engineer if you have:

  • Experience building and managing data pipelines
  • SQL/Python and Power BI experience
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data modelling
  • Experience moving data across systems and environments
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions
  • The desire to learn new modern tooling techniques with Azure and Fabric

This is a hybrid role where you will need to be able to get to the office based near Liverpool on a weekly basis.

The salary on offer is £51,000 and some great benefits.

If you’re a Data Engineer who wants to progress into a Fabric environment and be a part of something new then I’d love to speak with you!

Please apply to this advert, reach out to me on LinkedIn, or contact me at [email protected] to learn more.

If you don’t have an updated CV, no problem, send what you have, and we’ll take it from there.

Other offers great for you!
