Data Engineering Instructor

Data Engineering Coach / Instructor — Freelance, Remote

We’re hiring an experienced Data Engineering Coach / Instructor on behalf of one of our long-term partners in Germany, a leading organization in the tech education space.

We’re looking for a Data Engineering professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and helping learners develop practical, job-ready skills.

This role combines hands-on Data Engineering expertise with coaching and mentorship. You’ll work with learners from diverse backgrounds, explain complex technical concepts in an accessible way, and guide them through practical exercises and real-world projects.

What You’ll Do

Deliver engaging, hands-on Data Engineering training.

Coach and mentor learners throughout their bootcamp journey.

Explain complex technical concepts clearly to learners with different experience levels.

Guide students through practical exercises, projects, and real-world Data Engineering scenarios.

Support learners with technical problem-solving and project work.

Provide constructive feedback and help students continuously improve.

Work collaboratively in an agile learning environment.

Technical Skills We’re Looking For

Strong practical knowledge across Data Engineering technologies, particularly:

➡️ SQL & NoSQL

➡️ Docker

➡️ Apache Airflow

➡️ dbt

➡️ AWS – including services such as Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and S3

➡️ PySpark

➡️ Kafka

➡️ CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

➡️ Snowflake

You don't necessarily need to be an expert in every technology, but you should have a strong Data Engineering foundation and hands-on professional experience with modern data platforms and pipelines.

What You Bring ⭐

3–5 years of relevant professional experience in Data Engineering or a closely related field.

Strong hands-on technical experience with modern Data Engineering tools and workflows.

Practical experience working in Agile environments.

A proactive, hands-on mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Coaching, mentoring, training, or teaching experience is a strong plus.

English proficiency at B2–C1 level or higher.

German is a plus, but not required.

Availability to work on a freelance/project basis.
