Data Entry Administrator / Order Processing Specialist – Kitchen Industry

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Extensive Order Processing Experience in a Warehouse, Retail or Manufacturing Environment is ESSENTIAL. Kitchen Industry experience is highly desirable.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Data Entry Administrator / Order Processing Specialist to support our client's busy order processing function.

You will be responsible for accurately entering kitchen benchtop orders into SPS software based on customer purchase orders, ensuring every order is processed correctly, efficiently and within required timeframes.

This is a high-volume, detail-critical role where accuracy is extremely important. You will be working with customer purchase orders, emails, attachments and order information, so you must be comfortable processing large volumes of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Order Processing Experience is a MUST

The successful applicant will have extensive experience processing orders, ideally within a:

• Warehouse environment
• Retail environment
• Manufacturing environment
• Kitchen, cabinetry or benchtop industry
• Building supplies or construction-related business
• Distribution or wholesale business
• Other high-volume order processing environment

Kitchen industry experience would be highly advantageous, particularly experience dealing with kitchen benchtops, cabinetry, customer purchase orders, measurements, product specifications or similar.

While strong data entry and administration skills are important, our priority is finding someone who genuinely understands order processing and has done this type of work before.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately input customer orders into SPS software from purchase orders and emails
• Process high volumes of customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Review purchase orders and supporting documentation before entering orders
• Carefully check product details, quantities, specifications and other order information
• Identify discrepancies, missing information or incorrect details and follow up as required
• Ensure orders are entered correctly before being released for processing
• Manage incoming orders and email-based workflows
• Organise and maintain accurate records of processed orders
• Handle customer purchase orders and email attachments
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve order issues and ensure smooth order flow
• Meet deadlines and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
• Follow established processes and procedures consistently

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Extensive hands-on experience in order processing
• Previous experience processing customer purchase orders
• Strong data entry experience with a proven track record of accuracy
• Previous administration experience
• Experience working in a warehouse, retail, manufacturing, distribution or similar environment
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to accurately process high volumes of information
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues before an order is processed
• Confident working with email, attachments, spreadsheets and digital systems
• Ability to work independently and follow structured processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly Desirable

• Experience in the kitchen industry
• Experience with kitchen benchtops, cabinetry or related products
• Experience working with measurements, specifications or customised orders
• Experience using SPS software
• Experience with other warehouse, retail, manufacturing or order management systems

Please note: Candidates with general administration or data entry experience but without substantial order processing experience will not be suitable for this position.
