Neal Mast & Son Greenhouses/Mast Young Plants takes great pride in being one of the country’s largest growers of premier indoor and outdoor potted plants. NMG is a large, commercial growing operation, providing quality plants and service to our clients for over thirty years. Our greenhouses cover 25 acres under glass 20 + acres of outdoor space in four locations and employ 150 + people year around. We are a premier grower, located in northwest Grand Rapids, and service national accounts in 48 states. Our Mast Young Plants division was formed in 2007, and the partnership of young plants and finished goods gives Neal Mast Greenhouses the unique advantage of ensuring premium quality from beginning to end. The MYP facility has 250,000 square feet of indoor production, producing millions of vegetative liners and seed plugs annually. MYP carries a complete assortment from more than 40 sources of young plant material.

The primary role of the Data Entry and Customer Support Specialist is entering all plant orders that come in and contacting customers with any issues on their orders. As Specialist, they would be assisting our customers and plant brokers with any needs or questions they have. Communication with our customers is key, whether it’s helping them at their request or notifying them of an issue they may have on their order. Keeping up good customer relations with a constant willingness to help is what makes for a returning customer. Competitive salary based on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Guide customers and brokers with their young plant orders.

· Order entry, managing incoming orders and providing subs as needed.

· Invoicing.

· Manage incoming phone calls from customers and brokers.

· Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Hours/Days: Regular hours Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 5:00pm. Additional hours and/or Saturdays may be needed during seasonal peaks. (Typically Jan-March)

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 2+ years previous data entry/phone experience. Excellent data entry skills are needed as well as working proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).

Abilities/Strengths: Must have good communication skills and professional phone skills. Strong organizational skills required with accuracy and attention to detail. Must be able to take daily tasks at hand and be self-motivated in accomplishing them.

Physical Requirements: Work environment is mostly in an office performing computer tasks. Must be able to listen/speak on the telephone. Occasional lifting of 20 lbs., bending and squatting.
