Data Entry Clerk

Job Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering information from physical documents or digital sources into the appropriate software, platforms, computer systems or databases. The Data Clerk aids in keying in data from various sources (e.g., paper forms, spreadsheets, online forms) into computer systems or databases, verifying the accuracy of data by cross-checking information and correcting errors, and maintaining data integrity by following established protocols and procedures. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to multitask are key to success in this position.

Essential Responsibilities

• Check data for recording errors.
• Provide information to coworkers.
• Compile data or documentation.
• Verify accuracy of transactional data.
• Enter information into databases or software programs (ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central).
• Store records or related materials.
• Select resources needed to accomplish tasks.
• Maintain operational records.
• Operate office equipment (computer or iPad).
• Translate information for others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
• Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
• Basic computer and record‑keeping skills for order entry, documentation, and inventory tracking
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and carriers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
