Data Entry Clerk

Duties

• Transaction Input: Enter sales receipts, vendor invoices, credit notes, and customer payments into accounting software (QuickBooks)
• Journal Entries: Post daily journal entries for cash receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
• Account Reconciliation: Match and balance bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to find and fix discrepancies.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Track incoming customer bills (AR) and outgoing vendor payments (AP), and assist with follow-ups.
• Document Management: File, scan, and organize physical paper receipts and digital source documents for audit trails.
• Spreadsheet Tracking: Create and maintain Excel or Google Sheets to track expenses, budgets, and financial figures.
• Error Verification: Review raw data against source records to catch duplicate entries, typos, or missing figures.
• Report Preparation: Help compile trial balances, income statements, or basic financial summary reports for accountants.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
