Data Entry

We are a well-established residential construction company serving the Hamptons and are seeking a detail-oriented, organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. This full-time position will support our Corporate Controller in managing the company’s financial records and job costing across multiple residential construction projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. Experience with construction accounting is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate Controller with day-to-day accounting functions
• Enter and maintain accurate job cost information
• Process and record financial transactions in a timely manner
• Maintain organized financial records
• Assist with accounts payable and other bookkeeping duties as needed
• Ability to work and to analyze data independently
• Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
• Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required - minimum 5 years
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Construction industry experience is a plus
