What they need

About The Company PaxusBB connects skilled professionals with opportunities across a range of industries and operational environments. We work with organisations seeking capable people who can contribute to reliable, efficient services. For this opportunity, PaxusBB is recruiting Data Officers to support a busy operational team responsible for maintaining accurate information relating to network installations. The team values quality, consistency and collaboration, and provides established procedures to help employees manage their work effectively.

About The Role This contract opportunity is suited to people who enjoy structured, process-driven work and take pride in producing accurate results. As a Data Officer, you will create, update and maintain records relating to network installations. The role involves a significant amount of manual data entry, as well as reviewing information, identifying discrepancies and following approved processes to correct issues.

You will manage a daily workload while balancing accuracy, productivity and quality expectations. Clear work instructions and procedures will guide your tasks, and you will have access to a Team Leader for support and escalation when required. The position is full-time, with 40 hours per week, and is expected to continue through to the end of March 2027. The successful candidate must attend in-person training at the Central Coast Depot for the first two weeks. After training, the role will transition to a work-from-home arrangement.

Qualifications Applicants should ideally bring three to five years of experience in data entry, administration, records management or a similar role. Strong attention to detail, keyboarding ability and general computer skills are important, along with experience using Microsoft Office and web-based applications. You should be organised, dependable and able to manage daily priorities while meeting deadlines and productivity targets.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with repetitive, high-volume tasks and checking information carefully. You will be able to recognise data errors, follow documented instructions to investigate them and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders. A professional approach, commitment to attendance and willingness to work within established processes are essential.

Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include performing high-volume manual data entry; creating, updating and maintaining installation records; and reviewing data for errors, exceptions and inconsistencies. You will investigate and correct discrepancies in line with approved guidelines, maintain accuracy while working toward quality and productivity targets, and follow all relevant policies, procedures and work instructions.

You will also manage competing daily tasks, escalate complex or unresolved issues to the Team Leader, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support accurate information and operational needs. From time to time, you may contribute to process, procedure and documentation reviews, support continuous improvement initiatives, and undertake other reasonable duties aligned with the role.

Benefits This opportunity offers a rate of $45 per hour plus superannuation and a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. The contract is expected to run until the end of March 2027, providing the opportunity to contribute to an established operational team over an extended period. Following two weeks of in-person training at the Central Coast Depot, the role offers a work-from-home arrangement. You will also have clear procedures, defined expectations and Team Leader support to help you carry out your work.
