Data Entry Specialist

Essential Functions

• Tracking for transferring data between systems either through electronic review or hard copy.
• Utilize an electronic health record and State database to mirror the systems.
• Update information in State system as clients discharge and transfer from the mental health services of the agency.
• Make any necessary changes to client records.
• Interface with Center staff for clarity of data.
• Review data for deficiencies or errors.
• Maintain the historical retention of discharge summaries electronically with electronic backup.
• Operate common office equipment to complete tasks.
• Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry within the HICD department. As time allows, other duties will include assisting medical records with scanning and preparing medical records requests.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience in data entry
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and visitors
• Ability to proofread and enter data quickly and accurately
• Computer proficient (MS Office, Excel)
• Possession of a valid NJ driver’s license
• Prior experience in a mental health setting preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency is highly desirable

Part-time, 29 hours per week

Salary/Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
