Data Entry Specialist (with Payor Experience)

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist with experience working with healthcare payors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient, insurance, and billing information while ensuring data integrity and compliance with company and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, verify, and update patient, insurance, and billing information into company databases and systems.
• Review and process healthcare-related documents with a high level of accuracy.
• Work with various insurance payors to verify member eligibility, coverage, benefits, and other relevant information.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, communications, and account activities.
• Ensure data quality by identifying and correcting errors or discrepancies.
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets.
• Follow HIPAA and data privacy guidelines when handling sensitive information.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data-related issues and obtain missing information.
• Generate reports and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

About you

• At least 1 year of Data Entry experience in a healthcare or medical billing environment.
• Experience working with US healthcare payors/insurance companies.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance terminology, benefits, eligibility, and claims processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong typing and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
