Data Entry Virtual Assistant

Job Summary:
We're in pursuit of a detail-oriented Data Entry and Data Collection VA to help expand the event listings on our events discovery platform for the craft beer industry. You'll review brewery websites and social media pages, gather accurate event information, and enter it into our custom admin system. You'll be a great fit if you're meticulous, comfortable navigating websites and basic browser tools, and consistent through repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review assigned brewery event pages, tour pages, and Instagram and Facebook accounts to find new events, tours, and promotions
• Cross-check social media against official event pages to catch listings that never appeared on the website
• Enter complete event details into our custom admin form, including title, description, date, time, location, and links
• Categorize each listing correctly by event type (food, social, tours, specials, and others)
• Set up recurring and multi-date events accurately with the correct start and end times
• Extract event images from Instagram with the browser inspect tool and upload them to the correct listing
• Verify and enter off-site event locations using Google Maps address lookup
• Add ticketing links (Eventbrite, Universe, and similar platforms) where applicable
• Keep a consistent review cadence so new events are captured as soon as venues publish them
• Flag duplicates, missing information, or inconsistencies and suggest workflow improvements

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in data entry and online data collection with a strong accuracy record
• Confident navigating websites, web forms, and admin dashboards
• Basic technical ability to use browser inspect/developer tools to find and download images
• Experience gathering information from Instagram and Facebook
• Familiarity with Google Maps for verifying and confirming addresses
• Working knowledge of Slack and email for daily communication
• Able to set up and use two-factor authentication
• Careful, organized, and able to work solo
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with event listings, online directories, or calendar management
• Background in web research or lead/data collection projects
• Basic image handling skills (downloading, renaming, uploading)
• Ability to manage several sources and projects at once
• Proactive mindset and a willingness to suggest better ways of doing things
• Interest in the craft beer, hospitality, or events space
