Data Entry Virtual Assistant

Job Summary:
We’re currently interviewing for a detail-oriented Data Entry and Data Collection VA to help grow the event listings on our events discovery platform for the craft beer industry. You’ll review brewery websites and social media pages, gather accurate event information, and enter it into our custom admin system. We’re keen on someone meticulous, comfortable navigating websites and basic browser tools, and steady through repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review assigned brewery event pages, tour pages, and Instagram and Facebook accounts to spot new events, tours, and promotions
• Cross-check social media against official event pages to catch listings the website hasn’t published
• Enter complete event details into our custom admin form, including title, description, date, time, location, and links
• Assign each listing to the correct event type (food, social, tours, specials, and others)
• Set up recurring and multi-date events accurately with the right start and end times
• Pull event images from Instagram using the browser inspect tool and upload them to the matching listing
• Verify and enter off-site event locations with Google Maps address lookup
• Add ticketing links (Eventbrite, Universe, and similar platforms) where they apply
• Keep a consistent review cadence so new events are captured as soon as venues post them
• Flag duplicates, missing details, or inconsistencies and recommend workflow improvements

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in data entry and online data collection with a strong accuracy record
• Confident navigating websites, web forms, and admin dashboards
• Basic technical ability to locate and download images with browser inspect/developer tools
• Experience gathering information from Instagram and Facebook
• Familiarity with Google Maps for verifying and confirming addresses
• Working knowledge of Slack and email for daily communication
• Able to set up and use two-factor authentication
• Sharp, consistent, and self-reliant
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with event listings, online directories, or calendar management
• Background in web research or lead/data collection projects
• Basic image handling skills (downloading, renaming, uploading)
• Able to keep track of several sources and projects at once
• Proactive mindset and a willingness to suggest better ways of doing things
• Interest in the craft beer, hospitality, or events space
