Data FinOps Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Data Consultant & FinOps Engineer to join our Data team. You will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and evolution of data solutions that improve visibility into cloud costs, ensure reliable data processing, and support analytics and management needs. You will be involved in the entire data processing lifecycle, from pipeline development to dashboard production, including performance optimization and technical incident resolution. As a technical expert, you will also be expected to contribute to architectural choices, best development practices, and the continuous improvement of data platforms.

Main missions

• My mastery of Python development for data projects/scripts (using pandas, polars, matplotlib libraries) and not just in notebooks.
• Ma trise des pipelines data (airflow)
• Matrix PowerBI
• Experience in debugging Python data scripts, ETL pipelines, and cloud elements
• Knowledge of the cloud (AWS/Azure) and experience in using serverless or containerized resources (lambdas, azure functions, AWS ECS)
• Good knowledge of Databricks
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in the use and limitations of cloud-hosted databases
• Ideally, knowledge of FinOps, particularly cloud pricing and optimization policies, is also required.

Desired Candidate Profile

10 ans d'exp rience minimum

Ability to speak fluently to explain what he does, and even give presentations to entities on FinOps topics (after developing his skills).

Ability to challenge technical choices and argue to defend one's convictions on the subject (regarding Python code, ETL pipelines, etc.)

Autonomy in progressing through topics once they have been explained

Ability to develop expertise in new areas (FinOps, complex financial business logic)

Experience in managing service providers and technical teams

Comfortable with monitoring and tackling the challenges of completed projects.

Rigour is necessary in reporting and monitoring the progress of the teams.

Proactive in suggesting improvements to communication (KPIs, presentations, etc.)

Comfortable speaking in front of technical or functional interlocutors.

Ability to develop expertise in managing cloud and non-cloud costs (Databricks, MongoDB, LLM...)

Autonomy and initiative in supporting user teams

Cloud technical knowledge (AWS & Azure)

My proficiency with office software (especially Excel)

Bonus points if you're comfortable with Power BI
