Data Governance Analyst (Purview)

Role: Data Governance Analyst

Work Experience

10-15Years

• Experience: 5–10+ years in data governance or data management, with at least 3+ years of hands-on expertise implementing Microsoft Purview.

• Technical Stack: Proficient in the Azure data ecosystem (Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric)

• Real-time Processing: Experience with streaming data and real-time analytics

• Performance Tuning: Optimization of data models and query performance

• Data Governance: Implementation of data lineage, cataloging, and quality frameworks

Architecture & Design:

• Semantic data model design and implementation

• End-to-end data platform architecture

• Integration patterns for multiple data sources

• Scalable and maintainable solution design

Responsibilities

• Remediate existing platform based on Azure review findings

• Implement robust ETL pipelines following medallion architecture

• Develop reusable semantic data models for multiple consumers

• Ensure platform performance and scalability

• Support transition from development to BAU operations

• Provide technical expertise for data governance implementation
