Key Responsibilities

• Focuses on moving data governance from theoretical frameworks into consistent, measurable daily execution
• Lead a dedicated team of specialists, operationalize critical governance forums, ensure enterprise-wide data quality, and embed data controls deeply into upstream operational processes.
• Framework Operationalization: Own the operational rollout and enforcement of established data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across regions, ensuring governance moves from definition to consistent execution.
• Governance Forums: Chair and operationalize governance forums, ensuring decisions are documented, translated into concrete actions, tracked, enforced, and closed with clear accountability.
• Data Quality & Master Data Management: Accountable for enterprise data quality for analytics and master data outcomes by directing the team to operate data quality monitoring, remediation processes, and master data practices.
• Process Integration: Ensure data and analytics controls are embedded into upstream processes to reduce rework, inconsistency, and waste while maximizing transparency and ROI.
• Compliance & Security: Oversee the operational application of data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements by collaborating with IT, Security, and Legal stakeholders to enforce access controls and cross-border data rules.
• Platform Governance: Provide leadership oversight on analytics and data platform governance, covering access models, usage monitoring, and cost transparency.

Requirements

• Experience: 15+ years of professional experience, with deep expertise (8+ years) specifically in data management and data governance gained within complex multinational corporate environments.
• Education: A recognized university degree.
• Governance Track Record: Extensive experience leading enterprise data and analytics governance globally, with a proven ability to operationalize frameworks and standards.
• Core Competencies: Strong technical expertise in data governance, ownership models, data quality, and master data management with direct accountability for business outcomes.
• Regulatory Acumen: Solid understanding of global data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to translate them into operational controls.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing and leading specialist teams to execute large-scale governance processes.
• Mindset: Strategic yet execution-oriented, capable of embedding governance into day-to-day operations to drive tangible business value.
• Communication: Exceptional English communication and stakeholder engagement skills tailored for a cross-functional, global landscape.

• Professional certifications in data management or governance (e.g., CDMP, CDGP).
• Hands-on working experience with modern enterprise cloud analytics platforms and data lakes (such as Databricks and major hyperscaler data suites like Microsoft Azure ).
