Data Governance Expert

As our work continues to grow, we are looking for a Data Governance Expert to help shape practical, sustainable governance practices across the enterprise.

In this role, you will play a key part in building the structures that support trusted, well-managed data across the business. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to improve how critical data is governed, understood, and protected, while helping drive consistency, accountability, and adoption of best practices in data management.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise data governance policies, standards, and operating models
• Partner with business and technical teams to improve data quality and stewardship
• Establish data ownership, metadata, and classification frameworks across critical domains
• Monitor compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory data requirements
• Lead governance councils and drive adoption of data management best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading data governance, data quality, or metadata management initiatives.
• Hands-on experience applying data governance frameworks, data stewardship practices, and governance policy implementation.
• Hands-on familiarity with data catalog, lineage, and metadata management tools.
• Experience working with regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, or similar, including governance considerations for customer and financial data.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across business, risk, and technical teams, and to lead governance councils and present to senior leadership.
• Business-fluent Arabic or English.
• Eligibility to work in Jordan.
• A data governance credential or similar certification is a plus.
