Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Manager with 7+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, and data privacy. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and modern data governance frameworks.

Experience working with real estate data and industry standards such as MLS/IDX/VOW, RESO Data Dictionary, MLS Grid, NAR, public records, AVM, and transaction data is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship, accountability, and governance operating models.
• Manage data quality initiatives, including quality rules, monitoring, scorecards, KPIs, and remediation processes.
• Use Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, classification, lineage, business glossary, and metadata management.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define critical data elements, business definitions, ownership, and governance requirements.
• Support data privacy, data classification, DLP, access controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and manage data-related risks and provide governance reporting to stakeholders.
• Work with Azure and Microsoft Fabric data platforms, including OneLake, Synapse, Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
• Establish governance practices for MongoDB/NoSQL data environments.
• Collaborate with data engineering, security, compliance, product, and business teams to improve data reliability and usability.
• Define and monitor data governance KPIs, quality metrics, risk indicators, and remediation plans.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or a related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including:
• Data cataloging
• Data classification
• Data lineage
• Business glossary
• Metadata management
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
• Working knowledge of OneLake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases and related governance practices.
• Strong understanding of data stewardship, data ownership, governance policies, standards, and frameworks.
• Experience with data privacy, classification, DLP, access controls, and data security.
• Experience defining data governance KPIs, data quality scorecards, dashboards, and risk reports.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Real Estate Domain Experience — Highly Preferred

Candidates should have strong hands-on knowledge of real estate data, including one or more of the following:

• MLS / IDX / VOW data, licensing, and usage requirements.
• Public records, tax assessor, deed/title, and foreclosure data.
• AVM, transaction, property, and comparable sales data.
• NAR, MLS Grid, and RESO Data Dictionary.
• Demographic and geolocation/geospatial data.
• Third-party real estate data providers and vendor data governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing enterprise data governance programs.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
• Experience in real estate, proptech, property data, financial data, or related domains.
• Relevant certifications in data governance, Microsoft technologies, cloud, privacy, or data management are a plus.

We are seeking a hands-on Data Governance professional who can bridge business requirements, data management, technology, privacy, and governance and help establish scalable, measurable data governance practices across the organization.

Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
