Data Hub Business Analyst – Brussels

We are looking for a Data Hub Business Analyst – Initiative Owner to join a major banking environment and drive business analysis initiatives from ideation through delivery, working closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Location: Brussels
Work mode: Full-time — Hybrid (50% on-site / 50% remote)
Contract: Permanent or Freelance
Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Languages: Strong English + good knowledge of French and Dutch

Mission

You will act as the key link between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirements, data analysis, testing and solution delivery while ensuring alignment with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business analysis from ideation to delivery, including business cases and requirements

• Analyze and map data flows, user roles and data usage

• Identify data issues and define target solutions and use cases

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and SMEs to validate requirements

• Ensure requirements traceability and support impact analysis

• Translate business needs into test conditions for product, performance and UAT testing

• Support data architecture, solution validation and quality reviews

• Facilitate delivery through testing, change management and reporting/dashboard creation

• Act as the main liaison between business and technical teams

• 4+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst / Data Business Analyst

• Strong experience in requirements management and stakeholder management

• Proven project management skills

• Good understanding of data concepts, BI, reporting and dashboarding

• Experience with conceptual modelling and IT testing

• Good knowledge of SQL querying

• Understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog management, sprint planning and MVP mindset

• Strong understanding of workflow processes

• Good knowledge of MS Office

• Experience in banking / financial services is a plus

• Knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide is a plus

• Fluent English + good knowledge of French and Dutch
