Data Insight Lead - SQL, Python, Microsoft Azure, Power BI : £90k : London Hybrid

We are working with a global insurance firm to recruit a Data Insight Lead to join its growing Data Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional to play a key role in turning data into meaningful business insight, supporting strategic decision-making and driving improvements across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Data, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver actionable insights and support the continued development of the organisation’s data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver data analysis and business insight to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions, dashboards and data pipelines.
• Use SQL, Python, Power BI and Microsoft Azure to generate meaningful insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting and automation.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Support the development of a data-driven culture across the organisation.

We are looking for a commercially minded and technically strong data professional with experience in analytics, business intelligence or a similar role.

You will ideally have:

• SQL and Python (development, not just scripting) skills.
• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Azure.
• A background in data analysis, reporting and automation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
• Experience working with stakeholders and delivering analytical projects.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• A relevant STEM degree or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
