Solution Architect / Tech Lead Data Integration

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect / Tech Lead Data Integration who can bridge the gap between enterprise architecture, business requirements and technical execution.

The role will be responsible for designing robust, scalable and secure data integration solutions across enterprise applications, data platforms and downstream consumers.

The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership to engineering teams and ensure that integration solutions are high-performing, reliable, secure and built for long-term scalability and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end data integration solutions using APIs, streaming, messaging and middleware.
• Design scalable real-time and batch integrations between source systems, data platforms and downstream consumers.
• Create and review High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
• Define Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) covering scalability, performance, availability, security and reliability.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, integration patterns and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering squads and development teams.
• Collaborate with engineering leads to drive successful technical delivery.
• Guide teams on coding standards, design principles, integration best practices and API lifecycle management.
• Translate complex business and data requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure integration solutions follow appropriate security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Support performance testing, production troubleshooting, incident resolution and deployment planning.
• Identify opportunities to modernize existing integration architectures and improve reliability, scalability and maintainability.
• Coach and mentor developers while promoting modern engineering and DevOps practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Integration Architecture, Data Integration, Solution Architecture or Engineering Leadership.

• Strong practical experience in enterprise data integration and data platforms.

• Strong experience with real-time and batch data integration.

• Strong knowledge of:

• REST APIs

• API Gateways

• Messaging and Eventing

• Kafka / Event Hubs

• Integration patterns

• Middleware

• Strong hands-on understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure and services, including:

• Amazon MSK

• S3

• Lambda

• ECS

• OpenSearch

• Good programming skills in Python.

• Strong understanding of SQL, data analysis and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes and Lakehouse architectures.

• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and platforms such as Reltio.

• Experience translating business and data requirements into technical architecture and integration solutions.

• Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.

• Experience with Terraform, GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.

• Good understanding of data pipelines and data engineering concepts.

• Ability to work with multiple technical and business stakeholders.

• Strong communication, problem-solving and technical leadership skills.

Good to Have

• Experience building data pipelines using Databricks.
• Experience with enterprise MDM / Reference Data Management.
• Experience with event-driven and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience in designing highly scalable and resilient integration platforms.
• Experience working with global enterprise environments.
