Data Lake Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled Data Lake Engineers with hands-on experience in data ingestion, pipeline development, transformation, and maintenance of enterprise data lake solutions. The engineers will work on integrating data from SAP S/4HANA into the data lake, developing and enhancing data pipelines, resolving production issues, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance data lake solutions and data pipelines.
• Extract and ingest data from SAP S/4HANA into the data lake environment.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data extraction, transformation, loading, and processing.
• Work with structured and semi-structured data from SAP and other enterprise systems.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Monitor data pipelines and resolve failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide production support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and ongoing enhancements.
• Optimize SQL queries, data processing jobs, and pipeline performance.
• Collaborate with solution architects, SAP teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and operational procedures.
• Follow data security, governance, and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data lake development.
• Hands-on experience in developing, supporting, and enhancing data lake solutions.
• Experience extracting and integrating data from SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases and data modelling.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
• Knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and pipeline monitoring.
• Experience in troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and functional teams.
