Data Management Specialist

Position Summary

The customer seeks a highly skilled, motivated Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain a state-of-the-art data management Backend and Frontend. The ideal candidate will play a key role in establishing robust, scalable systems and frameworks that ensure high data quality, integrity, and delivery efficiency across internal and external platforms.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain a data integration solution following industry best practices for data modeling, management, and delivery.

· Ensure adherence to robust, scalable governance and security frameworks for data and database management.

· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build and support Agile-driven data initiatives.

· Design and implement database schemas and data models to support the customer BI product portfolio.

· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

· Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concepts for new features within the BI landscape.

· Support large-scale enterprise architecture initiatives and troubleshooting of data infrastructure.

· Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and procedures (SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL) with an emphasis on data warehousing solutions.

· Contribute to Agile processes using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Git, and CloudBees.

· Apply architectural best practices related to storage, resiliency, and infrastructure design.

· Understand and integrate identity and access management protocols (LDAP, SAML, Active Directory, etc.).

· Utilize scripting languages (Unix Shell) for automation and process enhancements.

· Participate in manual and automated testing for data platform components.

· Familiarity with front-end Dashboard tools is considered an added advantage

Required Qualifications

· Proven hands-on experience in data engineering, ETL development, and software development practices.

· Strong expertise in SQL and database technologies including RDBMS and NoSQL (e.g., OracleDB, GraphDB, Cassandra).

· Solid programming experience in Java based and PL/SQL with comprehensive understanding of data warehousing principles.

· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices.

· Experience in architectural design, security concepts, and network fundamentals.

Desirable Skills

· Knowledge in network configurations and security (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, reverse proxies).

· Understanding of authentication and authorization technologies.

· Exposure to Business Intelligence and visualization tools.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM13,473.33 per month
