Data Management Specialist

Role Description The Data Management Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting data-related activities that enable informed decision-making and reliable business insights. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and maintaining data repositories, applying data governance standards, and monitoring data quality across systems and reports. The specialist will help design and implement data management procedures, support master data management initiatives, and collaborate with consultants and project teams to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and accessible. This role also involves performing data analysis to identify trends, data issues, and improvement opportunities, and documenting data processes and best practices. The position requires self-directed work, clear communication with stakeholders, and adherence to confidentiality and security standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Management and Master Data Management to structure, maintain, and harmonize critical business data.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Data Governance and Data Quality to establish standards, controls, and validation processes for trustworthy information.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret complex datasets, generate insights, and support data-driven recommendations.
• Familiarity with databases, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, part-time environment are required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Relevant education in data science, information systems, business analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
• Experience working with consulting firms or in international, cross-cultural environments is an advantage.
