Data Measurement & Reporting Senior Analyst

This position is a temporary assignment. As a contractor, you’ll be employed by Magnit, not The Cigna Group or any subsidiaries of The Cigna Group.

This role sits within the Analytics & Reporting organization at Evernorth Workplace Care. Candidates in this position focus on the use of reporting and analytics to improve health, optimize business processes, and maximize client value. The data measurement and reporting analyst will develop prototypes and dashboards visualizing clinical, claims and business data in support of operational and population health initiatives. Completes day-to-day data and analytics tasks without immediate supervision, but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members. This position will require expertise in several different technologies used by the Evernorth analytics teams. These include multiple database technologies such as MS SQL, DataBricks, and Teradata Vantage (TDV) and visualization tools, including Tableau. Knowledge of Python for data management, visualization and analysis is required. Some knowledge of the Epic Cogito suite of tools (including Clarity and Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, and Radar dashboards) or other healthcare data sources is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards in Tableau or other similar tools using data from electronic health records (e.g. Epic), claims or other healthcare data sources.
• Develop and support data extracts and reports for various audiences.
• Participate in intake discussions with broader reporting team(s).
• Develop automation to replace manual data processes/
• Document and verify requirements for dashboards, reports and data requests.
• Prototype data visualizations as needed for clarification.
• Develop and maintain user/technical documentation of responsible system areas, take initiative to identify process improvements and implement them when needed.
• Provide status reports, verbal and written and participate in regular customer or project meetings, support and assist in the successful completion of team goals.

Technical Skill Requirements

• Tableau, SQL Server experience (Required).
• Data visualization and communication skills (Required)
• Strong SQL data manipulation skills (Required)
• Python data analysis and visualization (Required)
• Proficiency with Microsoft software applications (Excel, Access, Visio), Windows operating system environment (Required)
• Experience with AI tools to aid in generating, optimizing code and analytics output (Preferred)

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or quantitative health care related field.
• Experience working with healthcare data such as claims, appointments, and electronic health records (Preferred).
• Strong quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning, organizational and task management skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external clients, or customers.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation) The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $46.00/hour-$49.00/hour
