Job Title: Senior Developer Data Migration
Location: Pune
Experience: 6-8 Years

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Developer – Data Migration with 6-8 years of experience in designing, developing, and executing large-scale data migration projects. The candidate will be responsible for migrating data across enterprise applications, ensuring data quality, integrity, and minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze source and target data models and prepare migration strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute ETL/Data Migration solutions.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading activities.
• Develop mapping documents, migration scripts, and reconciliation reports.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and migration defects.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities.
• Optimize migration performance and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
• Provide production support during cutover and post-go-live activities.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in technical design reviews.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Data Migration projects (ERP, CRM, Cloud, or Legacy Modernization).
• Expertise in SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell Scripting, or PowerShell for automation.
• Strong knowledge of data mapping, data cleansing, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience working with APIs, flat files, XML, JSON, and CSV data formats.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data governance practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• Relevant certifications in ETL, Cloud, or Database technologies are a plus.
