Data Migration Lead (Databricks)

About the role

This is a senior, hands-on technical role focused on data migration execution, technical problem-solving, and ensuring successful migration outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and executing data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness throughout the migration process.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and oversee data migration activities across systems and platforms
• Utilize Databricks hands-on for data processing, transformation, validation, and migration tasks
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle
• Analyze source and target data structures and identify data mapping and transformation requirements
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation
• Identify and resolve data migration issues, discrepancies, and technical challenges
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to ensure migration requirements are met
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, migration reports, and validation results
• Support migration testing, cutover activities, and post-migration validation

About you

• At least 10 years of experience in Data Migration
• Strong, hands-on experience with Databricks
• Solid understanding of data migration methodologies, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
• Experience working with complex datasets and enterprise data environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams
• Experience handling large-scale or enterprise data migration projects
• Exposure to ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data quality management
• Experience supporting end-to-end data migration, from assessment and preparation through cutover and post-migration validation
