Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Lead with strong expertise in SAP Master Data Migration to lead the planning, execution and governance of complex data migration initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that data is migrated accurately, completely and efficiently into the target system while maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end SAP Master Data Migration process from planning through execution and cutover.
• Define migration strategy, approach, methodology, timelines and controls.
• Coordinate with multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful migration.
• Lead migration activities including data extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, loading and reconciliation.
• Ensure migrated data is accurate, complete and fit for use in the target system.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities.
• Monitor project progress, dependencies, issues and timelines.
• Resolve migration-related challenges and provide scalable solutions.
• Drive data quality and validation activities throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Participate in key technical and business decisions related to migration.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide guidance to team members.
• Support junior team members and help improve migration processes and efficiency.
• Ensure migration activities remain aligned with business objectives and project timelines.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Migration.
• Strong understanding of SAP Data Migration methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC data migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of Master Data Management concepts.
• Experience with data mapping, data cleansing, transformation and validation.
• Experience in data reconciliation and data quality management.
• Good understanding of migration planning, execution and cutover activities.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex migration projects.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks throughout the migration lifecycle.

Good to Have

• Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit.
• Knowledge of SAP data migration tools and frameworks.
• Experience with ETL/data transformation processes.
• Exposure to large-scale SAP transformation or S/4HANA implementation programs.
• Experience in data governance and data quality initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of overall IT experience.
• Strong experience as a SAP Data Migration Lead / SAP Master Data Migration Lead / SAP Migration Consultant.
• Should have experience managing migration teams and working with multiple stakeholders.
• 15 years of full-time education is mandatory.
