Data Migration Specialists

Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Data Migration Specialists for future ICT contract opportunities across the Australian Government. The work is likely to require moving large volumes of data out of legacy and mainframe systems into new cloud platforms, including mapping, cleansing, trial loads, reconciliation and cutover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data migration strategies, plans and approaches
• Analyse source system data structures and data quality
• Develop source to target data mappings and transformation rules
• Cleanse, transform and load data into target systems
• Plan and run trial migrations and dress rehearsals
• Reconcile migrated data and resolve data defects
• Plan and support migration cutover and post-migration validation
• Work with business owners on data remediation and sign-off
• Document migration runbooks, mappings and reconciliation reports

Required Experience

• Minimum five years in data migration roles
• Migrating data from legacy or mainframe systems to modern platforms
• SQL and ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica or similar
• Source to target mapping and data transformation
• Data reconciliation and defect resolution
• Planning and supporting migration cutover

Desirable Experience

• Migration into Dynamics 365 or other SaaS platforms
• Python or other scripting for data transformation
• High-volume, citizen or registry data sets
• Microsoft Azure data certifications

Security Clearance Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Must hold a current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (minimum)

Working Arrangements

• Likely hybrid
• Canberra preferred
