Job title: Senior Data Modeler / Data Engineer

Location: Fully Remote (EU-based candidates)

Engagement type: B2B contract

Contract length: Until the end of 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension

We're currently supporting a global enterprise on a large-scale data transformation initiative and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Modeler / Data Engineer to join the team.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design scalable, high-performance data models that support business intelligence and analytics.

While domain knowledge will be provided, we're looking for someone who can quickly understand business requirements and translate them into robust data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise enterprise-scale data models for BI and reporting solutions.
• Translate business and reporting requirements into scalable, efficient data models.
• Support the evolution of a large operational reporting landscape.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data models meet performance and analytical requirements.
• Contribute to best practices in data modelling, warehousing and reporting architecture.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data modelling within Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse environments.
• Strong understanding of:
• Star schema
• Snowflake schema
• Facts and dimensions
• Grain definition
• Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
• Excellent SQL and data analysis skills.
• Solid knowledge of Data Warehouse and Lakehouse concepts, including architecture and performance optimisation.
• Experience working with Power BI.
• Experience using Databricks.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
