Data Platform Engineer (AI, Cantonese Speaker)

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and enhancing a state-of-the-art AI platform and data ecosystem, supporting a strategic digital transformation initiative that spans multiple years.

• Design, develop, and manage platform operations that support AI workloads and large-scale data processing, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Build, deploy, and maintain automated, scalable services, facilitating seamless integration of internal and external APIs to support AI applications and data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain resilient infrastructure using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines, to enable efficient deployment and updates.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, conduct comprehensive acceptance testing, monitor system health continuously, and evaluate emerging technologies to improve platform scalability, stability, and automation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale data architectures like data lakes or data warehouses.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI/data services.
• Strong skills in automation, scripting, and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Fluent communication skills in Cantonese and English.
